Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide friendly and efficient service throughout their shopping experience.
- Operate the cash register and process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment.
- Scan and bag items, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantity.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, replenishing supplies as needed.
- Answer customer inquiries, assist with product location, and provide information about promotions or special offers.
- Monitor inventory levels at the checkout counter and communicate restocking needs to the supervisor or manager.
- Follow established procedures for cash handling, including counting money, balancing cash registers, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Strong numerical aptitude and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with cash register systems.
